Misura® DTA gives precious information on the changes occurring in materials subject to a thermal treatment that can be hardly detected with other analytic techniques:
- identification of hydroxide presence in clays;
- study of the development of newly-formed crystalline phases in porous bodies rich in alkaline-earth elements;
- analysis of the intensity and shape of the kaolinite peaks, which indicate its pureness and crystallinity index;
- differentiation between kaolinite and halloysite, with practically identical chemical composition on the fired product;
- quality check of the different minerals commercially defined as talc.
- identification of the temperatures of glassy transition, melting and crystallizing in glassy and glass-ceramic systems.
