The only lab instrument combining optical fleximeter and optical dilatometer! The technicians can get a more complete characterization of the evaluated materials; indeed:
- thanks to the optical fleximeter without any contact pyroplastic deformation occurring in the body, bending caused by absorption of water of the body, bending caused by the difference in thermal expansion between a body and a glaze, bending caused by the difference in sintering behaviour between glaze, engobe and ceramic body can be analyzed;
- thanks to the optical dilatometer without any contact the thermal expansion variations and the coefficient of expansion can be analyzed, also identifying the temperatures of glass transition and dilatometric softening of the single materials.
Finally, using the combination of the two equipment the coupling temperature of the materials and the compressive stress between glaze and body can be evaluated.
