The only lab instrument allows the technicians get a more complete characterisation of the evaluated materials, indeed:
- thanks to the optical fleximeter without any contact pyroplastic deformation occurring in the body, bending caused by absorption of water of the body, bending caused by the difference in thermal expansion between a body and a glaze, bending caused by the difference in sintering behaviour between glaze, engobe and ceramic body can be analyzed.
Moreover, it will be possible to study the coupling temperature of the materials and to evaluate the compressive stress between glaze and body.
